And then there was that Dutch girl who just loved some Swedish artists..... *winks* *waves* *over here!* Yesssss since I was 11 I was totally *yay* with the song Joyride. But it would take me another 3 years to get totally into Roxette. They are a great band, sweet and kind people and they have the most wonderful songs! Of corrs, I also love their (Marie's and Per's) other projects a lot. Due to a braintumor, Marie decided to take a reat and recover. So Roxette is in the freezer for the time being. Though Marie made a great English (her first!) comeback album last year called "Second Chance". Per was busy with his solo carreer and his Swedish band Gyllene Tider, who are still one of the most popular bands after 25 years still..... Per just released his new project/album: Son of a Plumber (or just SoaP). Who else loves Roxette (even if just one song) *hugs* ~Cynni

Thanks to a good friend whose name starts with "Cyn" and ends with "thia," I am learning to love Roxette! "It Must Have Been Love" and "Listen To Your Heart" were mega-hits in the U.S., and I just found out that these two songs alone have been played on the radio over 6,000,000 times in the United States. Because of this, I got the wrong impression that this band was a "two hits and you're out" phenomenon. But I was very wrong, I'm glad to say. "Run To You" is such a beautiful song that I have only recently discovered and there are many more! I really hate our record industry in the U.S. They really seem to shut out great talent, and if they don't then they'll give a band a short time in the spotlight and then dump 'em. I think Roxette, the Corrs and Bryan Adams have been treated this way. To this day, I have never heard a single track from "Room Service" or "Borrowed Heaven" on the radio here in the U.S. But then there are other songs, such as "Breathe (2 am)" by Anna Nalick gets played it seems every 30 minutes!

*yay* To Steve I sometimes hate our record companies too. Since Per and Marie both have very good solo albums, but they are not here in the stores... I am happy to know www.cdon.com and that I own a Creditcard. Sonce now, I can stay updates with ALL Per Gessle, Marie Fredriksson and Gyllene Tider music... And keep you updated as well *hugs*
